Iconic pictures

This must be one of the most iconic pictures ever taken.

It is the classic photo of construction workers having lunch on the cross beam during a break from building 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan, New York City.

Do you know anything about it? How would you describe it? What does it make you think about?

  1. 1. Wow this picture is shocking! I have read a little bit about the story behind the picture and
It was prepared as a promotion about The Rockefeller skyscraper in 1932. It was taken during the worker's break on the top of the building two hundred sixty meters from the ground.

    2. It's amazing how relaxed the workers look in that dangerous place without any type of safety equipment. They were talking each other, eating, drinking something and also smoking on the cross beam, with beautiful views of Manhattan behind them, in one of the largest buildings in United States.

    3. This picture shows the work conditions that people could experience in those years and how didn't exist human rights to ensure well-being for workers. In adition, It made me think about the hard work that workers lived to build the big city.
