Meaning:
If you keep your word, you do what you promised to do.

For example:
You can trust Bashir. If he's made a promise, he always keeps his word.
I'm sure you would have kept your word and helped us out if it was possible, so don't feel bad about it.

    I try to always keep my word, and in Spanish we say “cumplir tu palabra”.
