English Idiom. Can you think of a Spanish expression that means the same? If so, please do share it in the comment section.

  1. “The elephant in the room” I think that it would mean a big problem or issue that everyone is aware of, but nobody wants to talk about.

    A good Spanish examples would be:
    - “el tema del que nadie quiere hablar”
    - “hacer la vista gorda”

    I really like this idiom because it’s such a vivid image — you can almost imagine a huge elephant standing there while everyone pretends it doesn’t exist!
